Alas, I fear that I am not made to be a blogger. Fortunately, I was able to download many of my pictures to the web for all to see. Check them out at

beginnings
Bogota, Colombia Airport - 13 Nov 08
I have no idea what anyone is saying. I feel slightly alone, lost, and unprepared. However, I feel closer to God. I know that I can lean on His guidance to direct my path. I can also change how I look at everyone. Rather than being nervously skeptical, I can look for the good that is around me, and embrace everyone in my thought. See the good. Give gratitude. I am grateful for such a unique opportunity to stretch myself, to interact with a different culture - to learn from the locals, to share the Christ-idea with them. This experience is special and i must treat every moment with love and affection. Live now. Live in the moment. Be inspired by the beauty around you. Inspire others with your actions.

a quick preview....
a taste of my trip. towering snow-capped granite domes, beautiful weather, fun people, and great memories. i truly enjoyed myself and look forward to another chance to make it down there in the future. i have yet to compare, but some say that the cochamo valley, the valley behind me, is comparable, if not more impressive, than yosemite national park. if you like rock climbing or extreme mountain horseback riding, then cochamo is for you! i spent just about the whole trip working on the campo aventura ranch, utilizing and learning many skills - carpentry, electrical, plumbing, interior design, horse care, and good old manual labor. several times i ran the 13 miles up to our mountain lodge and one time back down the same day! plenty of good stories and journal entries to come!
